Initiatives

Large changes, planned in slices

Ask for a modernization, a platform migration or a large refactor and Taiga plans it as a sequence of initiatives, each one shippable on its own.

Big changes are where delivery usually stalls. A rewrite planned as one project runs for months before anything ships, and all the risk sits in the final release.

Taiga plans them the way experienced teams run them. Old and new run side by side, the product moves across one piece at a time, and the old code goes last. Each piece is its own initiative, reviewed and released on its own, and the product keeps working between them. Ask to move a frontend from Vue to React and you get the groundwork that lets both run together first, then the screens in groups, then Vue's removal.

The plan is read against your actual codebase, so the pieces follow how your product is really built. Small requests stay small, and a request your backlog already covers adds nothing new.
