01 / What we build
An AI software factory: business intent in, production software out, with the audit trail attached. The long version is on the product page.
02 / Why it matters
Regulated enterprises cannot ship what they cannot prove. We make governance the product, not the paperwork.
03 / Who we are
Operators who have played this game before. Four founders on their fourth platform shift together, building from Helsinki.
04 / How we work
Finnish pragmatism
Shortonceremony.Longonownership.
Ship, then iterate
We trust people to make decisions and own outcomes. If it's reversible, you don't need permission. If you're wrong, we fix it together. No committee theater.
Protect the maker
We keep the meeting load low and the interruptions lower. Your calendar is yours, and nobody has to justify a quiet afternoon.
Small team, high trust
Everyone ships, founders included. Titles describe what you answer for. You'll work directly with founders and make decisions that matter from week one.
Paid on outcomes
We don't track hours or monitor screens. We look at what you shipped and what you learned. Work when and where you do your best work.
05 / What you get
The practical stuff
No ping-pong tables. No unlimited PTO that nobody takes. Here's what we actually offer.
Equity, with the terms on the table
Equity is part of every offer. The instrument, the vesting schedule, the cliff and the exercise window are all set out in writing at offer stage, rather than implied by a number on a careers page.
Helsinki HQ, your schedule
We have an office in Helsinki and prefer working together most days. But we're adults. Need to work from home? Work from home. No performative presence.
Whatever you need
Top-tier hardware of your choice, any software license, the AI tools you want. Whatever makes you productive, without a procurement process. Just ask.
Sustainable pace
Finnish employment contract with full benefits. We don't glorify overwork. We have families, hobbies, and lives outside Taiga. You should too.
Your name on it
A team small enough that your work is visible in the product and your decisions shape it for years. Our customers are regulated enterprises; what you ship goes into production there.
06 / How we hire
The bar, and what happens next
Every company says it wants exceptional people. Here is what that actually means here, so you can judge it yourself.
You've owned something end to end
Not a piece of it. The decision, the delivery, the consequences, the cleanup. You can say what went wrong and what you'd do differently.
You raise the average
We're small enough that every hire is in the room for the decisions that matter, for years afterwards. That's why the bar doesn't move for availability.
You can show your work
When you make a call, you can say what it rested on. We sell provable work, and we think the same way about our own decisions.
We're not a fit if
- you want a defined career ladder,
- managing people is what motivates you,
- or you want process to tell you what comes next.
What happens after you write
We read every one. We reply when there's a conversation worth having, and most of the time there isn't one right now — so silence means the timing was wrong, not that your work was.
What we'll tell you about pay
You'll have the number before the first interview rather than after the third. Equity is part of every offer. We won't ask what you earn today.
On using AI to write to us
Use it if you want to. We build with these tools every day and pretending otherwise would be strange. We're reading for judgment: what you chose to build, what you'd do differently, what you think is wrong with our product page. That part doesn't survive being outsourced, and it shows when it has been.
07 / Open roles
No postings. Always looking.
We don't run open postings. We go find the people we want, and we read everything that reaches us.
We have no open roles right now.
We hire ahead of need, one person at a time, and every role we open is announced here first. There may be nothing on this list for a while.
The open channel
Write to us anyway.
There is one question. Answer it and we will read it properly:
What is the one problem in this space you would want to own, and why are you the person to own it?
Send it to hello@tai.ga. Two things have to be in there or we probably won't reply: a link to something you've made or written, and your answer to that question in your own words. No CV required, no form, no applicant tracking system.
08 / Questions
Before you write
- There's nothing open. Should I still write?
- Yes, if that question has a real answer for you. We hire ahead of need, and a letter that lands can change what we open next.
- Does a human actually read it?
- Yes. Every message is read by one of us, not filtered by software first.
- What happens to my application afterwards?
- If we're not talking, we keep it for twelve months in case something opens that fits, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner and we will. The detail is in our privacy policy.
- Can I write again later?
- Yes, whenever something material changes — you shipped something new, or you changed your mind about what you want to own. There's no waiting period.
- Do I need to be in Helsinki?
- The office is in Helsinki and we prefer working together most days, so this is a Helsinki role in practice. If you'd be moving, say so and we'll talk about what that takes.
