Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Build Taiga across the stack and own one area in depth: frontend, backend or platform.

Pay
€8,000 / month
Location
Maria 01, Helsinki. In the office most days, with flexibility for remote days.
Employment
Full-time, permanent. Six-month trial period.
Languages
Finnish and English

The role

You plan your own work and take it to production. Everyone ships across the whole stack. Where you go deep is your call, and the ownership follows.

What you would work on

Whatever your depth: features across the full stack, from schema to screen. The factory runtime: runs, multi-repository changes and the integrations our agents work through. And the governance features that are the product: policies, licences, findings and audit trails.

Frontend
The platform interface with our design engineer, the design system in production, and the real-time views.
Backend
The data API, the sync engine that keeps the interface live, the multi-tenant data model, and the integrations with GitHub and GitLab.
Platform
Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and releases, observability, security posture and cost, and deployments of Taiga, or parts of it, into customers' own infrastructure.

The first 6 months

Within six months, one area of the platform has a clear owner who is not a founder: you. Its backlog, its quality and its on-call are yours. The platform ships more each week than before you joined, and you raise the bar in review and design without adding process.

What is hard

There is no platform team, no SRE rotation and no one to hand work to. You move between product features, the factory runtime and the infrastructure, depending on what matters most that week. Priorities change and the work is often ambiguous. We build for regulated customers, so the quality bar is high from day one.

What we look for

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering, working at a senior level
  • Comfortable across frontend, backend, a relational database and cloud infrastructure, with real depth in at least one
  • Strong TypeScript, or working fluency if your depth is platform
  • Production experience on a major cloud
  • Something you have owned end to end and lived with: a product, a service, a platform area or the infrastructure itself
  • Daily use of AI-assisted development tools, with opinions about how to use them well
  • Fluent Finnish

Also useful

  • Infrastructure as code
  • PostgreSQL depth: migrations, performance, row-level security
  • Building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks, beyond using AI tools
  • Python
  • Work in regulated industries, or with security and compliance as part of the product
  • Startup experience and comfort with uncertainty

Not needed

  • A deep machine learning or data science background
  • Mobile development
  • Industry domain knowledge

More than any framework, we are looking for a senior engineer who ships, owns the result, and has rethought how software gets built now that AI does part of the work.

How hiring works

Your CV or LinkedIn profile and, if you have one, a link to something you have built or written.

  2. Get to know each other60 min

Your work so far, what you want next, and what we are building.

  3. Technical session90 min

System design and live coding with your own AI tools, then a debrief. There is no home assignment.

  4. Team interview

The rest of the founders and the engineers. How we work and what you would own.
